Mark Simpson

Mark has always pursued new and different activities and has traveled all over the world trying things as varied as musical instruments with the Aborigines in Australia, running with the bulls in Spain, and taking helicopter rides up onto high bluffs with base jumpers in Europe. He has performed with the Triton Trouper Circus for the last five years. His specialties include stilt walking, double stunts, double trapeze, stacking chairs, double-mini trampoline, silks, and corde de lisse.

Brian Hampton

Brian started performing with skating and cradle in Gamma Phi Circus. From there, he went on the work Flying Trapeze with the Flying Gaonas for five years. For the last two years, he's been in the Triton Trouper Circus as well as performing professionally for several local circuses. He has performed in flying trapeze, swinging cradle, static cradle, double stunts, double-mini trampoline, unicycle, and double trapeze.

Charlene Numrych

Charlene started as a gymnast and competed through college. Working as an engineer by day and a gymnastics coach at night, a chance encounter with a circus performer introduced her to the thrill and athleticism of circus aerial work. She performed with the Triton Trouper Circus for the last 10 years as well as in professional performances for several local circuses. She has performed in: static cradle, stacking chairs, double trapeze, swinging trapeze, double stunts, perch pole, teeter board, and russian swing.

James Schubert

James Schubert is the founder and director of The Acrofabulous Circus. He first became involved with circus arts in 1997 at The Actor's Gymnasium in Evanston, where he completed their Certification Program in 2001. He then began high flying trapeze with Julio and Gloria of The Flying Gaona's, and later became an instructor at their gym. Concurrently James trained with Sports Acrobatics Coach, Nourbol Meirmanov, and maintains his membership as a Sports Acrobatics team member. He also volunteered and worked instructing for CircEsteem and The Chicago Youth Circus for several years. Beginning in 2002, James began creating and directing a new children's circus summer camp for the Skokie Park District which has enjoyed outstanding success! James holds a degree in Germanic Studies from the University of Illinois as well as a BFA in Film Production from San Francisco State University. He has also been in several independent circus performances, vaudeville shows, theatre performances, TV commercials, dance collaborations and has an extensive history of musical performance starting from a very young age.
